Mornington Peninsula Regional Tourism is a skills-based board, and includes eight members with specialisations in tourism, media, marketing, government in addition to tourism specific expertise (accommodation, wine, food, breweries etc).

Roger Lancia is an accomplished hospitality management expert with over 15 years of experience managing venues and Hotels for the Grossi Group, ACCOR Hotels, Van Haandel Group, Port Phillip Estate, and the Lancemore Group. Roger has had experience in senior leadership roles that include Executive Chef through to General Manager. In 2002 and again in 2011, Roger was awarded a prestigious ‘Chef’s Hat’ from the Age Good Food Guide as a chef and as an Operations Manager. Currently General Manager at the acclaimed Pt. Leo Estate, Roger is focused on combining his love of food, wine and art in a truly world-class setting. Roger is a proven relationship builder who has forged strong and long-lasting relationships with some of Australia’s leading hospitality, tourism, media and business influencers.
Alison is the Head of Government Services at Whereto Research and operates as a Lead Consultant in qualitative research and stakeholder engagement programs. Alison brings over 20 years of experience in market and social research, stakeholder engagement, communications strategy development and implementation to the Board and, as a local, is keen to see a thriving tourism industry for the region. She has worked with Federal, State and Local governments, not-for-profit organisations and commercial businesses to work out ‘what next’ in their business planning or strategic communications. Alison holds a Bachelor of Communications (Specialising in PR), is a member of industry associations AMSRS and IAP2 and has valuable local experience working with the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council and Peninsula Grammar School.
Matt Bebe is the founder and owner of Tar Barrel Brewery & Distillery based in Mornington. He was previously the co-founder/CEO of Mornington Peninsula Brewery and a board member of the Australian Independent Brewers Association. He is very passionate about the Mornington Peninsula region where he grew up and currently resides. Matt brings a strong entrepreneurial mindset and business management to the board. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Diploma of Education (Dip.Ed.) from Monash University.
Tracey Cooper is a seasoned company director. As Chairman, she led the establishment of the Mornington Peninsula Regional Tourism Board, having been appointed after serving for a term on the Murray Regional Tourism Board. She has several non-executive director positions spanning tourism, education and sports. She also holds a position on the Visitor Economy Ministerial Advisory Committee. Her extensive executive experience includes the Tourism, Professional Services, Technology and Venture Capital sectors. Tracey Cooper has a B.Com, Master of Management and Master of Business Administration. She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Felicia Mariani has had a long and successful career in tourism marketing and leadership including being the Director of Marketing at Tourism Victoria. She has been the CEO of The Good Foundation and Jamie's Ministry of Food and is on several boards. Felicia is a visionary leader with a track record of achievement linked to solid strategic planning capabilities, strong communication skills, with an impressive network of partners in both the commercial and government arenas. Her intellect and skill have seen her secure the role as CEO of the Victorian Tourism Industry Council.
Sean is the Director of Customers & Government at Google Melbourne. He is passionate about digital and marketing, with nearly two decades of working with diverse businesses across all aspects of business development and strategic leadership. Sean has returned to Melbourne with his young family, charged with establishing Google’s Melbourne footprint.
Marcio is the General Manager of Business Strategy and AT/High Sierra at Samsonite Australia & New Zealand. He brings extensive international business and strategy experience to the board, excelling at working with diverse stakeholders to drive innovation and growth. Marcio is a regular keynote speaker at Australia’s leading retail conferences, sharing experiences and proven strategies to succeed in the commercial sector. A proud Mornington Peninsula local and outdoor enthusiast, Marcio is fluent in several languages and holds a Bachelor of International Business and Asian Studies from Griffith University, and further management studies including Harvard Business School.
Simon is a leading, experienced tourism, aviation, government and public affairs executive. He has previously held senior executive roles with the Qantas Group, including the start-up of the Group’s value-based carrier Jetstar and was EGM of Corporate Affairs with Tourism Australia. He was prior contracted as Executive Director of the Australian Tourism Industry Council during the COVID-19 pandemic and is a former senior executive with once domestic and regional airline, Impulse.
Today a corporate adviser with boutique strategy firm, Royce, Simon continues to work with a number of leading Australian visitor economy firms. Over 25-years of corporate roles have included senior held positions with BHP Limited, Orica Limited, Medibank Private and as CEO of an Australian agricultural export advocacy body.
