How we what we do?

1. Promote

As part of our usual operations, Mornington Peninsula Regional tourism is responsible for brand Mornington Peninsula.  In effect, we are the content curators for the regional brand, with Destination Think ranking the Mornington Peninsula brand (Quarter One, 2022) as the sixth top destination brand in the world, through their consumer research program. We endeavor to promote brand Mornington Peninsula by using rich imagery and telling your stories to engage and connect with our visitors.

It is through the delivery of curated content that we convert the dreamers into visitors, for you to then delight.  Our content platforms are our:

  • Top ranking regional website

Our website, visitmorningtonpeninsula.org is a dymanic, multi-platform friendly website which is user-friendly for visitors who are planning a trip, or travelling within the region.  All regional marketing activities are linked back to the portal.  This results in growth in visitors to the portal and engagement with your business.

A recent survey completed by Tourism Australia, nominated visitmorningtonpeninsula.org as the most important source of information for travelling to and around the Mornington Peninsula.

  • Social Media

Inspiring people to want to visit, have visited, or who simply love the region, encouraging engagement and conversations across our social media platforms which include Facebook (Likes 54k+) and Instagram (Followers 52k+).

2. Disperse

We develop tools to help visitors navigate the region and explore more.  This includes the 250,000 touring maps that we heavily distribute throughout Melbourne and in-region to help visitors find their way to your business.  This is in addition to the digital map that is freely available to visitors via visitmorningtonpeninsula.org

3. Develop

Through research we stay up-to-date with trends and the latest visitor preferences.  These inform the regional strategy and in turn we help build your skills and grow your business through workshops, webinars and mentoring programs.  We aim to connect you with like-minded businesses through networking events, via our industry Web Portal and our Closed Facebook Group.
